Following is a brief description of the divisions offered at Marlington Select SC. Not all division will be fielded each session depending on of number of registered players. If we have enough players, we will separate each division into "A" and "B" brackets to keep the play fun and competitive. How to determine your age group
Birth year registration is determined by the year a soccer season ends. For seasons that span from fall to spring or summer overlapping across two calendar years, players will register based on their age during the second year of the season. To simplify, an age group can be determined by subtracting the birth year from the year the season ends.

Example:
Year Season Ends – Birth Year = Age Group
2019/2020  season so 2020 – 2007 = U13


U10 Division:
The U10 division is for boys and girls 10 and under. In this division there will be 7 field players and a keeper. A size 4 ball will be used and all players must wear shin guards. The length of play for the U10 division is 2-25 minute halves and a 10 minute half. A single referee will be used for all U10 games.

U12 Division:
The U12 division is for boys and girls 12 and under. In this division there will be 8 field players and a keeper. A size 4 ball will be used and all players must wear shin guards. The length of play for the U12 division is 2-25 minute halves and a 10 minute half. 2 referees will be used for all U12 games.

U14 Division:
The U14 division is for boys and girls 14 and under. In this division there will be 10 field players and a keeper. A size 5 ball will be used and all players must wear shin guards. The length of play for the U14 division is 2-35 minute halves and a 10 minute half. 2 referees will be used for all U12 games.
